For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but shall have everlasting
life (John 3:16). God loved us so much that He sent His Son,
Jesus, to the earth as a man to die for us.
Jesus, so loved the Father that He (Jesus) was obedient to the will of
God and laid down His life. What greater
love than this, may I ask?
Many people will say, “I love you” today. Many will give gifts and offer countless
expressions of love. As you go through
this Valentine’s Day, I ask that you take a few minutes of your time and
reflect on God’s love for us. How He
sent His son (Jesus in a man suit) who knew no sin to become sin for those who
would believe. How He allowed His son
(Jesus) to die for us and raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, so that we who
believe shall be raised from death into eternal life.
Greater Love: Jesus gave us a command in John 15:12 to love
one another just as he has loved us and if we do, we are His friends. In John 15:13-14, King James Version, Jesus
said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life his
friends. You are my friends if you do
what I command you.”
The Question or is it The
Answer: Do you want eternal life? Do you want to be a friend of Jesus? If you
answered yes, then you must love everyone as commanded and as a result you will
receive eternal life.
