Wait For The Lord!

Psalm 27:14 says, Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart. and wait for the Lord. How many times have we said, "wait on the Lord?" There is a big difference in the prepositions "on" and "for" and these words change the meaning of this scripture big time.
The word "on" is often used to indicate the part or object by which someone or something is being supported. For example, the book is on the table; hang it on the wall, or for location - it is on the left, or support -I live on my pension check.
The word "for" is used to indicate the person or thing is sent or given to; indicate the place that something or someone is going to or toward.
In this scripture, waiting for the Lord is that the Lord is going to me, is going or coming toward me. See the difference?
So David is saying to himself - Don't lose heart, be strong for the Lord is coming (going) to or to him. So the next time say "Wait for the Lord", for He is coming toward you!
Be Blessed!
