Overcoming When Life Happens

One of my sayings is, “life happens” to us all.   If you been around for a while, life has happen, and if not so long, “life will happen to you”. The key to “life happens” is how you respond to the “life happens” event or circumstance. When I talk to people about the goodness of God and they respond with their life events, I merely remind them that life happens to us all.  It doesn’t discriminate nor does it consider your economic status.

A life happens event could be the loss of a job, a divorce, the loss of a love one, theft in home, a terrible break-up in a relationship, a failing grade, a missed interview, a sickness, and the list goes on. If you are alive, and obviously in this world, life happens – now let’s take a deeper dive.  As long as you are in the world and have not transitioned to your eternal glorious life that God has promised, you are subject to “life happens” events and circumstances. However, you can rest assured knowing that you can overcome whatever the evil one throws your way.  When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have the power of God in you to overcome whatever is being thrown at you.  1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.”   Your God given faith gives you the power to overcome the world.

So the question is or could be, how does one overcome?  Let's take the loss of a job as an example.  First and foremost pray and ask God to reveal to you how or why this happened and believe that He (God) will answer you.  Second, don’t wallow in the fact of a lost job, but rejoice knowing that God is faithful and more than willing to give you a better job than the one you lost.  The word of God says “that our latter will be greater than our former”.  Third, comb through the Word of God to find His promise for your life happen event, meditate on it, and confess with your mouth, only after you believe in your spirit that God's word is true.  Finally, rejoice, praise and do what it takes to get another job, but believing God for His favor.    The key here is not to stay in the place that you find yourself when life happens, but to know that you can overcome whatever comes your way in victory through Christ Jesus.

Be Blessed!

While Outside

As I sit in a special corner of my house, I have an amazing view of outside.  Not only is this my sit corner, but it also serves as my write...
