We are "to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might." Each day we are "to put on the full armor of God that we may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil." As children of God we will be faced with evil things from the enemy. However, we can stand and be able to resist in the evil day because God has given us His full armor to Strap On!
In Ephesians 6:13-17, Paul tells us to strap on the following weapons of warfare: (1) Shield of Faith; (2) Helmet of Salvation; (3) Breastplate of Righteousness; (4) Belt of Truth; (5) Gospel combat boots; (6) The Sword of the Spirit; and (7) The Word of Truth. When we placed these weapons on everyday, we can stand and defeat the enemy.
So today, tomorrow and the next day, take time to Strap On the full of armor of God. Use your shield of faith to stop the attacks, declare your righteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ, allow the Sword of the Spirit to speak the Word of Truth over all areas of your life, keep your feet solid in the Gospel of peace and proclaim the Belt of truth that it brings, and know that your Helmet of Salvation will always protect you.
